In the autumn of 2006 it was decided to create a pan London Chaplaincy Collaborative co-terminus with the NHS London Strategic Health Authority, combining the five former London regional Chaplaincy Collaboratives.

Issues under discussion

Discussions within the Collaboratives have addressed such issues such as:

  • The collection and use of data
  • Quantifying and qualifying chaplaincy in relation to data collection
  • Information arising from the responses to the Baseline Questionnaire sent to all chaplaincies in January 2006.
  • The challenges to chaplaincy services in the light of Trust financial constraints
  • The links and involvement with Higher Education providers
  • Balancing commonality and difference between the chaplaincy services in the Collaborative
