‘Caring for the Spirit' NHS Healthcare Chaplaincy Collaboratives

Configuration

There are four ‘Caring for the Spirit' NHS Healthcare Chaplaincy Collaboratives in this area. Greater Manchester Collaborative was launched on 5th April 2006 in the City of Manchester Stadium, Manchester. The remaining three Collaboratives were launched on 29th November 2006 in the Country Golf Club Hotel, Garstang.

At the first meeting of the Cumbria Collaborative there will be a discussion about the composition of this collaborative. There are a number of geographical challenges in this collaborative and some organisational Trust boundaries to be considered. A final decision will be made at this meeting.

  • The potential of the Strategy to ‘add value' to healthcare chaplaincy. Some concerns about the time required to implement it.
